The purpose of this article is to help you understand: 

  • How to enable/disable minimum price limits
  • How to enable/disable minimum time limits
  • How to edit the text that shows up when a limit is not met

 

Minimum Price and Time Limits

One of the many features located in your service category's settings is the ability to set minimum price and time limits.  These limits ensure that you are making money to provide a service to the customer.  

In BookingKoala, minimum price and time limits are enforced when the client attempts to book their service.  If the minimum for one of these is not met, a message of your choosing will be displayed at the top of the page.  The client will not be able to check out until they add more services to increase the time or price and meet the minimum(s) you have set. 

 

Enable or Disable A Minimum Price Limit

To enable or disable a minimum price limit, please go to:

Settings > Industries > [Industry Name] > Form [#] > Service Categories

Next, open the service category you would like to edit by selecting "Options" then "Edit".

Scroll down the page until you see the Set minimum price option.

  • If you are looking to enable minimum pricing for this service category, check the box next to "Set minimum price".  
  • If you are looking to disable minimum pricing for this service category, uncheck the box next to "Set minimum price".  

If you have enabled a minimum price for the service category, enter it into the Price field below.

You will also want to select if you are checking the minimum price against the discounted total or the final total.

If you would like the system to check the minimum price for the complete recurring schedule instead of just the first booking, check. the box next to "Check minimum price for complete recurring schedule."

Below this, check the box next to "Text to display" and enter your minimum pricing message into the box below.  

Then, follow the "Next" buttons along the bottom of the page until you reach "Save", then click "Save" to update your service category.   

 

Enable or Disable A Minimum Time Limit

To enable or disable a minimum time limit, please go to:

Settings > Industries > [Industry Name] > Form [#] > Service Categories

Next, open the service category you would like to edit by selecting "Options" then "Edit".

Scroll down the page until you see the Set minimum time option.

  • If you are looking to enable minimum timing for this service category, check the box next to "Set minimum time".  
  • If you are looking to disable minimum timing for this service category, uncheck the box next to "Set minimum time".  

If you have enabled a minimum time for the service category, enter it into the Time field below.

Below this, check the box next to "Text to display" and enter your minimum time message into the box below.  

Then, follow the "Next" buttons along the bottom of the page until you reach "Save", then click "Save" to update your service category.
