What is test data?
When you first go inside your BookingKoala dashboard, you will see that it is pre-loaded with fake test data. This is to show you what the system looks like when it's been set up with store options, customers, providers, bookings, and more.
When you are ready to create real bookings, schedule customers, and add providers, you'll need to remove the test data from the system. Specifically, this means removing the fake customer, the fake provider and fake team, the test location, all the fake job history, all the fake upcoming bookings, and all the fake charges.
It is especially important to flush the test data before incorporating your payment processor, as any existing bookings with payment options may affect the accuracy of your revenue and earnings reports.
Flushing the test data will NOT affect any of the store settings that you may have changed, new industries you've added, and form components like frequencies, service categories, pricing under items/add-ons/packages/pricing parameters/variables, and extras.
Flushing Your Test Data
Once you have gotten a feel for the dashboard, you can flush the test data out of the system. To begin, please go to:
Settings > General > Store Options > Admin Tab
At the very bottom of the page, click the red Flush Test Data button. A pop-up box will appear, confirming you would like to delete the data. Select Yes to continue.
If the "Flush Test Data" button or section is missing, the data has already been deleted and you are ready to start adding real customers, providers, and bookings.
