Before You Begin
Please note, that multiple industries are only available in the Growing and Premium subscriptions. This includes unlimited Custom Industries as well.
If you are on the Starter plan, you can delete an industry and select a new one, but there cannot be more than one total industry per your account.
Adding an Industry
To add a new industry to your BookingKoal account, go to:
Settings > Industries > Add Industry
You will be directed to the "Add Industry" page. Industries you are already using will have a blue checkmark next to the name.
Select an existing industry from the list, or click the grey "Customize Your Own" button at the bottom of the page.
You will be directed to the "Select Form" page. Here, you can view a description of each form type and select which you would like to add to the industry. Click the blue "Next" button once you've selected the form number.
If you have existing industries, you can choose to import form elements from those industries into your new industry. Check the boxes next to the elements you would like to import and then click the blue "Save" button.
Finally, you will be directed to the "Form Settings" page. These control various settings for how your booking form will function. After going through and making your selections, click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
You will see a pop-up window letting you know the form settings have been updated successfully. From here, you can choose to be directed to the service categories section, the form listing section, or you can close out the window using the red "X" icon.
Renaming an Industry
To rename an industry, please go to:
Settings > Industries > Add/Delete Industry
Next, locate the industry you would like to rename and click the Edit button next to that industry's name.
An Edit Industry pop-up will appear with an editable Name field and an Upload Image option to change the industry's icon.
Click the blue Save button to update the industry if you made any changes, or Cancel if you wish to return without saving changes.
Deleting an Industry
To delete an industry, please go to:
Settings > Industries > Add/Delete Industry
Go into the "Added Industries" section by clicking the tab at the top of the page.
Locate the industry you'd like to delete, then click the "Delete" button on the right end of the row.
A pop-up window will ask if you are sure you want to delete this industry. Remember, once an industry is deleted from the system, all of the data within that industry will be deleted and cannot be recovered.
Click "Yes" to proceed with the deletion.
Adding a Form to an Industry
If you would like to use a booking form that was not included in your industry, you can easily add it through the settings section. Go to:
Settings > Industries > [Industry Name] > Settings > Add/Combine Form
Next, click the blue Add New Form button. The Select Form page will open with a list of the remaining forms available for use.
Click on the button with the form numbers at the top of the page to see a description of each form. Once you have made your selection, click the blue Next button.
Once you have added the form, you will next need to set up your Form settings. These settings pertain to how to form is viewed by the admin, the customer, and a variety of other options on how the form will behave under specific circumstances.
If you are ever unsure what an option means, hover over the orange "i"/tooltip icon to view more information.
Remember to click the blue Save button at the bottom of the page once you have made your selections. After saving, you can choose to be redirected to the Service Categories section or the Form Listing page for this industry.
Deleting a Form
To delete a form from your industry, please go to:
Settings > Industries > [Industry Name] > Settings > Form Settings
Find the row that contains the form you would like to delete and make sure it is not set as your default, as you cannot delete the default form. Click "Options" then "Delete".
A pop-up window will open asking if you are sure you want to delete this form. Remember, all data and information used in this form will be deleted and cannot be retrieved.
If you are sure you are ready to delete the form, click "Yes" to proceed.
The form will now be completely deleted from your account.
