The purpose of this article is to help you learn:

  • How to block a customer from booking
  • How to block a customer from logging in

Restricting Customer Access

There are a few different ways you can restrict customers' access to their accounts without deactivating or deleting them.

  • The "Block Access" button allows you to block the customer from logging into their account.  If the customer tries to log in, they will see a message letting them know they are unable to log in at this time.
  • The "Block From Booking" button allows customers to access their accounts but blocks them from making any new bookings. If a customer attempts to create a new booking, they will not be able to see any availability (regardless of whether you have availability for that booking or not).  Only admin and staff can create new bookings for the customer when the block is in place.

To block a customer from booking or logging in, first go to:

Customers > Customers

Search for the customer's name, email address, phone number, or address in the search bar or locate them in the list below.

Click on the customer's name to be redirected to their dashboard.

The yellow "Block Access" button and the red "Block from Booking" button will be located to the right (or just beneath) the customer's contact information.

You can also find these buttons under the "Profile" tab beneath the "Notes" box.

Block Access

If you click the "Block Acess" button, a pop-up window will appear asking if you are sure you want to block the customer from logging in. Click the blue "Yes" button to proceed.

A green system notification will appear in the top-right corner confirming that access has been blocked for this customer.

If the customer attempts to log in, they will see a custom block message in a red box at the top of the page.

Click here to set up the message the customer will see when they are blocked (or deactivated).

To unblock a customer from logging in, simply go back to their profile or dashboard and click the orange "Enable Access" button.

A pop-up will appear asking if you are sure you want to enable logging in for this customer account. Click the blue "Yes" button to proceed.

The customer will now be able to log in without restriction.

Block From Booking

If you click the "Block From Booking" button, a pop-up window will appear asking if you are sure you want to block the customer from scheduling new services. Click the blue "Yes" button to proceed.

A green system notification will appear in the top-right corner confirming that new bookings have been blocked for this customer.

If the customer attempts to schedule a new booking, they will not be able to view or select any of your booking spots regardless of provider availability.

To remove the block, simply go back to their profile or dashboard and click the blue "Unblock From Booking" button.

A pop-up will appear asking if you are sure you want to enable booking for this customer account. Click the blue "Yes" button to proceed.

The customer will now be able to view and select booking spots and proceed with scheduling a new service.
