The purpose of this article is to help you understand:

  • How admin can allow providers like yourself to create/connect a PayPal account

  • How to create/connect your PayPal account to receive payments

Getting Started

Before you can receive payments through BookingKoala, the admin must first set up and integrate PayPal for provider payments. If they have not done so already, they can click here to follow the step-by-step guide.

Admin must also give permission for providers to set up their own PayPal accounts. To enable this, they can go to:

Settings > General > Store Options > Providers > Bookings

Expand this section and scroll down to where it says "Would you like to allow your providers the ability to edit their profiles?" and select "Yes".

Then click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

Connecting Your PayPal Account to BookingKoala

First, if you don't have an account, you will need to create a new PayPal account.  You can make a personal or a business account.

Next, go to the BookingKoala for Providers app or open your dashboard in a web browser and click on the "Payment Processor" tab near the top left side of the app or the center tab on the desktop. If you are in the app, the "Payment Processor" button is located under the "My Profile" tab.

Enter your Paypal email address into the box beneath "Paypal Email ID".  Please be sure the email you are connecting to their profile is the same email address you use to sign up/log in with your PayPal account.   Then, click the green "Connect" button.

A green system notification will appear in the top right corner of the page, confirming that the account has been connected successfully.  You are now connected with the merchant's account and will be able to receive funds from them in the Payments section.

The "Connect" button will have changed into an "Update" button.

Make sure you hit the green "Connect" button which then will turn to "Update" after the accounts are connected.

If you ever get a new PayPal account, you can always update that information by entering your new email address into the box and clicking "Update".
