Where to find the customer export tool

BookingKoala created an export tool for several different areas in your account and in this article we will focus on exporting your customers. Perhaps you want to record and analyze your customer’s data, or transfer their information to another business account.  Regardless, you will need an easy and efficient way to export this data.

To begin the process, go to your main menu and click on:

  • Customers
  • Customers (again)

If you’d like to initiate the export, please click the green “Export” button on the top of your screen.

Customize your export file

Once you’ve landed in the Export Customer(s) area, you have several options to customize your download.  You can elect to export all customers in your account, or you can use a filter to narrow the list down.

Under “Date Created”, you can click “All Time” to see the option to pick a specific time period.  If interested, click “Custom Period” to launch the date selection calendar, choose your time frame, and click “Apply”. Under “Status” you can click “All Customers” to see additional options.  Depending on your needs, you can select “Active Customers”, “Inactive Customers” in addition to the all customers option.

Once you have selected your filters, you can decide if you want to click “Select All” to export all of the customer fields, or you can select individual fields to customize the export data.

In addition to basic information in the customer’s profile (like name, email address, address, etc.), you can pull information from their settings, like profile notes, date the account was created, and referral codes.  You can also select booking information as it relates to each customer, like number of active bookings, number of canceled bookings, and more.

Once you click “Export” you device will automatically down the information as a .CSV file.
