The Add Card Link Feature

The "Send add card link" feature is a Premium feature that enables customers to add a card to their profile from various sections without logging in. If a customer is uncomfortable providing their credit card information over the phone or wants to add a new card quickly without having to sign into their BookingKoala dashboard, the link can be sent by admin or staff during the booking process.  The "Add Card Link" can be sent via email, SMS, or both.

 

Enable and Edit the Add Card Link Templates

To enable and preview what the actual "Add Card Link" notifications will look like, please go to:

Settings > Notifications > Email/SMS > Customer tab > Account section

At the bottom of the "Account" section is the "Add card" template. Please ensure that the template is toggled to "Enabled" so the system can use it for your Add Card Link emails and SMS.

To edit the template, click the pencil icon/"Edit" button to the right of the template's description.

Locating the Send Add Card Link Buttons

The Send "Add card" link button can be located throughout the BookingKoala platform.  

  1. Go to any booking and click the "Edit"/"Reschedule" button.  The "Send "Add card" link" button will be located along the right side of the page with the other action buttons.

  2. In Calendar View, click on a booking to preview its details and locate the "Send "Add card" link" button at the bottom of the booking alongside the other action buttons.

  3. Go to any customer's profile from the Customers section and then click on their Profile.  Scroll down to the billing section to use the "Send "Add card" link" button.  

Sending the "Add Card" Link

Once you've navigated to one of these locations, click on the button to open the Send Add Card Link popup window.

  1. The topmost field allows you to add up to 200 characters worth of text to send along with the link to the customer.  
  2. Copy the Add Card Link URL to manually send it to the client.
  3. Each link can be used once and then it will expire.  If you need to send a new link, click the refresh button.  
  4. Decide whether you would like to send the link as an email, an SMS, or both.  
  5. Once you are ready, click the blue "Send" button to send the link the the customer.
