- How to release a credit or debit card preauthorization or "hold"
Release a Credit Card Hold
To release the funds that have been put on reserve by a credit card preauthorization, or "card hold", please go to:
Bookings > Booking Payments > Card Hold(s)/Declined
You will be redirected to the "Card Holds" tab by default. You can use the filters or search bar to locate the customer's hold or scroll down until you locate the transaction. Then, click the red "Release" button below the other action icons.
A pop-up window will ask if you are sure you want to release the hold. Click the blue "Yes" button to proceed.
A green system notification will appear in the top-right corner of the page, letting you know the card preauthorization has been released successfully and the customer's name will be removed from the "Card Hold" list.
